POFIVC 2026 — VIRTUAL WORLDWIDE
VIRTUAL SEMIFINALS + VIRTUAL FINALS
COMPETE FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
Singers selected as Semifinalists may participate in the POFIVC 2026 Virtual Worldwide Track from anywhere in the world, without traveling to Munich or New York City.
Separately adjudicated from the Live Competition Tracks, Virtual Worldwide features its own international jury, prizes, awards, and professional opportunities.
All singers begin with the POFIVC Online Qualifying Round. Those selected as Semifinalists may participate exclusively in Virtual Worldwide or combine Virtual with Munich and/or New York City.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
Virtual Semifinalists will be heard by a dedicated international jury of opera-industry professionals and considered for prizes, special awards, professional opportunities, and International Theater Pledge opportunities through the Virtual Track.
An Optional Live Feedback Add-On will also be available, providing a private, in-depth 25-minute Zoom session with at least two participating jury members following the competition.
The Virtual Track does not include the live Professional Casting Audition offered through the Munich and New York Live Semifinals.
VIRTUAL SEMIFINALS
Up to 100 singers may be selected to participate in the POFIVC Virtual Semifinals.
Each Virtual Semifinalist must submit two (2) video performances of arias in any language and style. Singers may use the same recordings submitted for the Online Qualifying Round.
Recordings should be recent, preferably from within the past 18 months, and may have been performed with piano or orchestral accompaniment.
All Virtual Semifinal performances will be presented to the Virtual Jury for professional review and adjudication.
Virtual Semifinal Registration Fee: $125
The Virtual Semifinal registration fee is required only after a singer has been selected as a Virtual Semifinalist.
VIRTUAL FINALS
Up to 15 singers will advance from the Virtual Semifinals to the POFIVC Virtual Finals.
Finalist performances will be presented as a curated virtual concert before the Virtual Finals Jury, along with additional casting administrators, artist agencies, and other industry professionals.
All Virtual Finalists may request written feedback from the Premiere Opera Foundation team.
PRIZES, AWARDS & PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Virtual participants may be considered for:

Singers do not necessarily need to advance to the Virtual Finals to be considered for certain Special Awards and professional opportunities.
Select participating casting directors whose theaters are represented on the Virtual Jury pledge their intent to offer stage auditions and/or other professional opportunities to select singers through the International Theater Pledge.
INTERNATIONAL JURY
The Virtual Track brings singers before a dedicated international jury of casting directors, artistic administrators, artist managers, agents, theater representatives, consultants, and other opera-industry professionals.
The Virtual Jury is distinct from the Munich, New York, and POFIVC World Finals juries, giving singers participating in multiple tracks the opportunity to be heard by different groups of industry professionals.
VIRTUAL & LIVE TRACKS
The Virtual Worldwide Track is a separate competition pathway within POFIVC 2026. Participation through Virtual does not provide advancement to the live POFIVC World Finals in New York City.
Singers seeking the opportunity to advance to the POFIVC World Finals on December 15, 2026 should also participate in the Munich or New York City Live Track.
Eligible Semifinalists may participate in Virtual Worldwide as well as Munich and/or New York City, subject to the requirements, deadlines, and registration fees of each track.
